We got a great surprise in the mail yesterday.
Last year my cyberpal Mexico Brenda told me about a company called Snapfish that makes personalized gifts from your digital photos. You can hop online and create your own calendars, artwork, blankets, coffee, mugs, etc. and have them shipped to your door.
We ordered a mousepad, a travel mug and two 15 ounce coffee mugs (the big ones). The initial cost was $72 bucks (including taxes and shipping) but I found a coupon online which cut the price down to $60.
You can track your order online via the UPS website, and when we hadn't received our package after about 2 weeks, I called Snapfish customer service. The rep explained that international orders (i.e. USA to Canada) took up to 25 business days and assured me we'd receive it within another 2 weeks. I was totally happy with that and just about to hang up when the Snapfish rep said "because you've been waiting so long I'll take another 20% off the cost of your order". This brought our order (including shipping and taxes) down to $48.
Unexpected bonus!
Even more amazing, before I placed our order, I googled customer reviews for Snapfish. Almost every negative comment from previous customers had to do with the customer service reps. Guess I lucked out 'cause my guy was awesome. He went above and beyond and completely secured my customer loyalty to Snapfish.
My Fella took his coffee mug to work before I got a picture of everything, but we are totally impressed with the Snapfish product line.
This shot may look blurry but the pictures on the mugs and mousepad are crisp and clear. And all the items are very good quality in relation to the cost.
Thanks Brenda for turning me on to Snapfish. We'll definitely order from them again.
Glad you are happy with your order from them. You were brave to order something breakable. I sent my mom a calendar with my pictures on it. She, of course, said it was great; but I had my sister look at it also and she also said it looked good, so I was happy with their product and service also.
The landscaping already looks great, way to go.
Thanks for your comment about my fishing Pooh bear picture, maybe Peanut needs one for inspiration ha ha ha.

Have you checked out www.vistaprint.ca, they have lots of specials. I've seen emails for a free mug, or mousepad, or t-shirt, business cards, pens etc, just pay the shipping which is quite reasonable and fast.

Hola Brenda - the mugs were wrapped well and then packed in boxes. Thanks again for the heads-up on Snapfish.
RE: your artwork. Are you going to start selling it? Your talents could certainly result in some extra pocket money.

Hey Justin - I've actually used Vistaprint before. I'd definitely order another photo calendar from them - the quality of the first one we bought last year was excellent.
Have you used Vistaprint before or do you work for them? :)

Hola, that's good to know they packed the stuff well. It is hard to know what to get for my mom at her age, she has everything she needs,I always used to buy her flowers; but now the other siblings are doing that too. Knowing a good reliable place to ship things to her is always good.
RE: artwork, am thinking of starting to sell some, as I have had a few inquiries.

Lately when I click on to your site bookmark I immediately get a box that says "the connection has been reset" etc. Then I have to click "try again". To a stranger it would seem that your site no longer exists. This has been going on for about 3 days.

Mr P - not sure why that's happening. You may have to delete that bookmark and save it again. Please keep me posted.
In other news - HOW WAS YOUR TEST WEEKEND IN THE BRAND NEW RV? Waiting for details! :)

Today we got to your website without doing anything different!
Our shakedown trip went smoothly, just a couple of minor glitches, we are very happy with our RV choice. Shushwap Falls campground is very pleasant and relaxing.
Cancelled our Oregon trip due to terrible 2 week weather forecast there.
