Our golf course neighbours think of me as The Wacky Tree Lady.
This is a result of all the potted trees still hanging around the yard while I find them a permanent home in the ground. Those same neighbours also secretly refer to me as The Crazy Woman Who Keeps Moving Her Woodpile. That one is self explanatory.
But I swear this is the last move...
On a similar note, my blog buddy Mexi-Croft has nicknamed his wife, The Crazy Deer Lady; as you can see from these blog posts (one, two, three) their local Vancouver Island deer have decided brunch is in her flower garden.
In a recent comment I mentioned that her deer fence must be working 'cause all the island deer have recently hopped on the ferry and migrated to the Okanagan.
And now they hang out in our lot at the golf course:
Free entertainment at it's finest...
Let us know when all the deer are there so I can turn the fence off.
Norma came in the other day and said, "I got it in the neck this time and I think my heart has stopped"! I told her I was highly trained in Industrial First Aid and I could assure her that if she could walk all the way into the house to tell me her heart had stopped then she could be assured it had not actually stopped. I don't think she bought my argument.

Mexi-Croft,
Are you a Certified Shock Doctor or do you just play one in the blogosphere?
The deer would like you to ship them some of your wife's roses. But please dethorn them first... deer have sensitive lips.

Kelsi, you can correct me if I am wrong, but those look like "spy" deer to me...sent from Croft to steal your great ideas for his own yard !!
BTW....only 12 more work days !!
Take care....TnT

TnT - I doubt they're here to steal MY ideas (mine are all stolen from other yards anyway)... BUT since the deer are here, I may have to pump them for details on how Mexi-Croft built his nifty outdoor benches.
How's the countdown going? Scared? Excited? Thrilled to escape Canada's winter weather?

Yes, we are scared, excited, and thrilled !!!
We have never been away for more than 3 weeks, let alone 6 months... Seriously, it is more stressful than I would have imagined..but...I know that once we are on the road, we can relax and enjoy a new stage of life.
Now, just to get through all the lunches, and good-byes at work, major emotions to deal with. Sigh, only 12 more days, only 12 more days ... LOL
